| Skynsky |
|
The video art-work SKYNSKY explores the
abstract, non-figurative aspects of the body, impinging in its
“non-organic”, insubstantial, spiritual nature. Skin fragments break
through the scenic screen as geometrical windows from which we are called
to closely watch and secretly observe the ever-changing body structural
entity. Like in a dream, shapes are smoothed out into a realm of interior,
spiritual thoughts resembling thin clouds connecting the past with the
future. The dream is a living snapshot captured by the digital eye. |

| Dad is Dead |
In Dad is Dead, the electronic sounds create an intimate dialogue with a soprano voice. The resulting atmosphere is one in which the music underlines the noir character of the video in which a young daughter experiences a leisure and relaxed time in the same room in which (supposedly) her father is hanging on a rope after having just committed suicide. Sex and money are the only real gift she is taking away from this experience. The music supports this dramatic setting and conveys the desperation hidden behind the cultural and communication abysm dividing these two human beings. |

| Imaginary Offer | ![]() |
The video Imaginary Offer is a one hour-long homage of Andrej A. Tarkosvskij to the memory of his father, the great Russian film director. The work is based on an intuition concerning the technique of the "hidden song" introduced and pioneered by his father applied to some of his own work, the video goes on to obtain deep emotional involvement of the spectator with the images taken from some of the most famous Tarkovskij movies as Solaris, Nostalghia and others. The electronic texture interacts also with traditional instruments as the shakuachi and the piano.
